AZ Fine Time has a long history with Paul Picot.  We carried the brand for many years with great pride.  One of our best sellers back when we had originally carried the line was the Firshire series.  Mostly consisting of tounneau shaped watches, with great design and a very classic look, the original Firshire series was a huge success.  Going in an even more dressy type of style, one of their latest additions is the Paul Picot Firshire Extra Flat P3710.SG.1106 is sure to be just as popular.

The 40mm stainless steel Firshire is (as in the name) extra flat.  At only 6mm thickness, it is hard to believe it is mechanical.  With a beautifully done high polish finish, the case deign is very elegant and sleek, working very well under the cuff.  The crown is fairly petit, but works great in its design and still is easy to function.

The dial is a pure white and looks outstanding in person.  The dial itself is a white lacquer that makes its black and thin Roman numerals really pop off of the dial.  To fit along well with the numerals, the hands are also thin, but fairly long and very easy to read. The Firshire Extra Flat also has a sub second hand at 6 o’clock, that has a subtle guilloché pattern, giving it some extra detail.

The movement utilized for this ultra thin dress piece is a manually wound Perseux 7001.  This movement is only 2.5mm thick, making for a perfect fit in the watch.  It has a rate of 21,600 bph and a power reserve of about 42 hours.  You can feel the quality in the very smooth winding of this manual caliber.  While the movement is hidden by an engrave able case back, it is still beautifully done to Paul Picots specs.
